Never imagined i would write this kind of post but too many shitty things happened in this fandom lately and i would spam your twitter feed with my rant.

So.

Let's get back to what fandom means. Yeah, i'll c/p the deffinition cause i'm lazy like that.
Fandom (from the noun fan and the affix -dom, as in kingdom, freedom, etc.) is a term used to refer to a subculture composed of fans characterized by a feeling of sympathy and camaraderie with others who share a common interest.

Shipping, derived from the word relationship, is the belief that two fictional characters, typically from the same series, are in an intimate relationship, or have romantic feelings that could potentially lead to a relationship. It is considered a general term for fans' emotional involvement with the ongoing development of romance in a work of fiction.
Key word here? FICTION

Now, what's the problem with this fandom?
Ppl ship 2 persons. They have their reasons. They don't have to explain their reasons. And they have the right to defend and keep their pairing.
This however doesn't allow the rest of the fans to call them names.
And this happened and was fun and everybody had a great time. Till a couple of months.
Now. You, as a fan, might like or not what happenes in your "idol" / "star"/ "insert noun here"'s life. That's your right. And again you don't have to defend your choice. As long as you don\t throw your ideas in those artists' face everything s ok.Shit happenes when other fans think they have the right to tell you what you should like, why you should like and slap your face when you don't do/like/act how they tell you.
You shall burn in hell if you dare to have a different opinion and (OMG HOW DARE YOU WHY ARE YOU EVEN ALIVE) express it.

Dear whoever reads this.
Fandom involves everything related to an artist. Fandom means thousands of fans, each with their own personality, ideas, likes and dislikes.
Fandom means shipping. Everything and anytime.
Fandom means fanfiction. Fandom means art.
But fandom should not mean hate. Fandom should not mean trampling on others.
Unfortunatelly this fandom is so fucked up in so many ways i don't even know where to start.
Some ~fans think they are better than others. That they have the right to impose and to tell you what you should do. Say. Think. I wonder if they should tell you when you can eat, drink, fu..uhm, ignore the last one.

Well no.
Me, as a fan, i reserve the right to have my own opinions, thoughts, likes and dislikes. And express them always.
I follow a lot of ppl and we don't share the same interests. And i know for sure we don't share the same ideas. But we get along. Cause we respect each other and we respect the right to have an opinion. And to express it in a normal way. With no hate or other shit.

Long story short?
1.have your own opinions
2.ship whoever you want
3.don't throw shit at ppl
4.if you do that, expect to be bitch-slapped
5.you can like or not the musicians that are around your fav artist. don't throw shit at them cause that won't put you in a better light
6.don't suck it up on your favourites. this won't make them fuck you (oops, did i hit a sensitive spot here?) or respect you. be honest with them
7.don't be a jerk and respect the other fans even if they don't respect you. it's an education thing ya know?
8.ship ship ship. this means you have imagination
9.have fun
